Online gaming among adolescents has raised concerns regarding its effects on health and well-being. To assess the level of addiction, and psychological and physiological effects of online gaming, and explore its association with demographic variables, a descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted among 200 adolescents in higher secondary schools of Kashmir. The study used standardised scales (IGDS9-SF, DASS21) and a self-structured tool. Over half (51%) exhibited behaviours linked to gaming addiction, 45 percent had normal depressive symptoms, and 31 percent experienced extremely severe anxiety. Physiologically, 60.5 percent reported mild effects. Online gaming has notable psychological and physiological impacts on adolescents.
